Awakening

Danny woke up from his dream and found himself next to Sheila.

The nature of his reality lately was disconcerting. He would wake up in a completely different situation than he remembered falling asleep to. It caused him to wonder whether this was all a dream...

Sheila stirred. "Hi, Danny," she said.

"Sheila," Danny said, and smiled before he knew what he was doing.

Sheila gently pulled Danny to her and held him. "Stay with me for a few minutes," she asked him.

"Of course," Danny said, and lay with her.
